My Dad came into town to visit me this past weekend, and since it was his first time here, we toured everything! I have to admit that even though I hate being a tourist, I forget the beautiful and historical sites that exist in this concrete jungle that I call home. The highlight for me was actually bittersweet; I have been wanting to see the Dakota where the Legend, John Lennon lived and died. Who better to see that with, than with the person who introduced me to the Beatles? When they lived in the nearby Dakota, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, adopted this landscape as their favorite oasis in the Park. A mosaic inscribed with "Imagine" greets you as you walk through the entrance to Strawberry Fields to honor the late idealist singer/songwriter. The Dakota where John Lennon lived.
